Welcome to Grentry Nation!

As a recent graduate who has difficulty in finding a job right after graduation, I have decided to dedicate this blog to those just like me.

Here, you will find everything you need to get your big boy/girl job. All tips and advice are here: from anything college-related to using social media outlets to networking to what employers are looking for when it comes to résumé writing. EVERYTHING. Enjoy!

Note: Citizenship status applies to everyone who visits, paperwork or passports will not be required, and no one will be deported.

Signed,
The President.

For our new college graduates, congratulations on reaching a BIG milestone! Here’s my gift to you:
Tip: When applying for your big boy/big girl jobs, apply to positions that you would LOVE to do, jobs that would make you happy. Just because you don’t have the experience, doesn’t mean you can’t apply for the position. What have you got to lose? 15-20 minutes (depending on the length of the application, haha!) of your time? The worst case scenario? An answer resulting in “No.”
What are you waiting for? GO FOR IT!

I work with an amazing guy who without fail, comes into the office with a smile on his face, a tune on his lips, and a big, “Howdy!” every morning (when he’s not traveling of course). His whole attitude completely changes my mindset for the day. I found it really weird in the beginning, but then I realized that I had worked around people who chose to not “think happy.”
He thinks happy and therefore, he’s always in a happy mood.
This is the attitude we need to take when going to work each day. If we think happy, we will be happy.

Being in school isn’t easy. Finding a job isn’t easy. Going to school while working is not even close to being easy.
How do you work full-time and go to school full-time successfully? You take it day by day. How do you make it through college? Take it day by day. How do you find your dream job?
If you don’t know the answer by now, the answer is in this blog post. Hint: White words on a red background.
